The Pandrol Fastclip FD railway fastening has been designed to support mainline track and track conditions where levels of dynamic loading and tractive and thermal forces are not as high as those found on typical high speed and heavy haul railways. It is typically suited to railways who operate low or medium density operations on rail sections around typically 50 kg/m, speeds up to 120 km/hr, and axle loads around 20 Tonnes.
FD Clips can be installed by hand tools or by machine installation.
The Fastclip FD system is a very low maintenance application comprising of a few simple components. The lightweight components provide a cost effective system which has the advantages of being simple to install and easy to inspect.
The components are designed to give maximum flexibility for gauge widening and multiple rail applications with minimal cost when changing components during necessary adjustment.
The system has been proven in track for more than 15 years and has been installed successfully on both concrete sleepers and on steel sleepers where hook in cast shoulders have been used.
The Pandrol Fastclip FD system is suitable for use on tram tracks and is compliant with European CEN track category A axle loads up to 13 Tonnes and curve radius down to 40 metre radius.
The Pandrol Fastclip FD system has been designed to support Main Line (Passenger Freight) track where levels of dynamic loading, tractive and thermal forces are not as high as some high density passenger freight rail systems or high speed/heavy haul oporatins.
It is typically suited to railways who operate low or medium density operations on rail sections up to around 50 kg/m and speeds up to around 120 km/hr and maximum axle loads of around 20 Tonnes.
Subject to minimum radius of curve and other operating parameters, the FD product may be applicable on some railways with higher perametres than stated above.
