Aluminothermic Welding

Railtech Boutet is a railway-welding supplier specialising in the manufacturing of railroad track welding supplies for urban and industrial use.

Aluminothermic Welding System

Molten steel produced through the reaction of iron oxide and aluminium is cast at a temperature exceeding 2000 degrees C in refractory moulds designed to suit the rails to be welded. This process features our CJ One-Shot Crucible, which is available for all of our current thermite welding processes. We offer a full range of rail welding kits to suit all American rail section including Worn Rail Welding and Wide Gap welding.

A-Frame Aligners

The A-Frame aligners allow for exact alignment of the rails to be welded in a quick, reliable way. To ensure the best alignment both rails can be lifted, moved horizontally and rolled to eliminate twist. The system is designed for easy lifting, carrying and operation.

Hydraulic Pre-Heater

The Hydraulic Pre-Heating System improves weld quality and decreases significantly weld costs. The hydraulically-driven propane air-preheating system provides the correct preheat within the same amount of time as our current oxygen-propane preheating system while eliminating the possibility that the operator can cause rail melt and the associated slag inclusions that can come with it. Additionally, the system eliminates the need for commercial bottled oxygen.
